The Bureau of Industry and Security of the U.S. Department of Commerce controls exports and reexports under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The Outreach and Educational Services Division provides guidance to new and experienced exporters regarding export licensing policy and procedures under the EAR. Export control information and related resources are available at the BIS website, www.bis.gov . The Defense Industrial Base Division of BIS surveys and assesses the economic health and competitiveness of the U.S. defense industrial base, and its studies collect statistical information about sectors that may be of interest to investors.
